We can arrange for the whole process to be taken out of your hands. We can arrange forwarding to the port of your choice, with the shipping being by RORO (roll-on, roll-off), container or air freight according to requirements.

A

We have our own in-house technicians who inspect all cars prior to delivery. However, if you would like an independent inspection, we can help with this process.

Q What is the timescale in which I can expect to receive my vehicle or vehicles?

A

Once we receive part payment, a vessel to your requested country and port will be booked, with full payment being required before we forward to the port. Timescale will depend on your location, but we will be able to give you estimated times and schedules at this stage. We are based in Hertfordshire near London, a logistically ideal location in close proximity to all of the major ports.

Q What paperwork will I receive for the vehicle, when will I receive it and can I see paperwork beforehand?

A

You will receive a UK registration document along with the bill of lading once the vehicle has been shipped from the port. If you requested any further information or an inspection, this will also be included with the paperwork. All documents are sent to you by recorded delivery after payment, with scanned documents able to be sent prior to this if required. Please ask a member of the staff and we will be more than happy to help.

Q What does VAT qualifying mean?

A

VAT is value added tax, with the term 'VAT qualifying' referring to the potential to claim back the VAT once the vehicle has been permanently exported outside the EU. Please note that this facility is not available to EU customers unless you have a VAT registration number, and that we do not offer tax advice - so please check beforehand with your local tax office.

Q Are all cars VAT qualifying?

A

No, only certain used vehicles are invoiced as VAT qualifying.

Q I am a diplomat, so do I have to pay VAT?

A

This means that you have the potential to claim the VAT back once the vehicle is permanently exported outside the EU. Please note that this facility is not available to EU customers, and that Turbocentre does not offer tax advice, so you are first urged to check with your local tax office.
